Objectives of Run the Park Series

1. Promote physical activity amongst young children within the natural environment
2. Provides a safe, fun and nurturing environment for young athletes to develop their Fundamental Movement Skills.
3. Promote values of care, resilience, responsibility, zero-impact and preservation of our natural surroundings

Cultivating values

Beyond cultivating athletics skills, the activities are also centered on developing a holistic individual. The program is designed to inculcate values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, positive attitude (persistence, resilience, caring) and respect for fellow athletes.

Care for the environment

In delivering the message of ‘care’, we hope to educate the participants and create an awareness of the splendour and majesty of the natural environment. While they enjoy nature they will also be taught the importance of zero-impact engagement with nature. To reiterate the philosophy:

“Take care of Nature, so that Nature will take care of you.”
